Street Photography

Sunday 27 April
Downtown Oshawa - 10am - 2 Hours
Ashraful Khan
People, cafes, vendors, street merchants, buskers, historic buildings, art installations and much more. The power of observation underpins the art of great street photography. Learning to "see" interesting detail is a practised skill and we introduce you to easy methods that will open your photographer's eye and expose you to a world that is alive with detail. The most rewarding part of the class is learning how to approach interesting people and have them willingly pose for you.

We will also go over settings, focusing techniques and lens choices common to street photography to help us capture those random chance encounters.

Over time, he has been fortunate enough to transform this passion into a platform where he can share, inspire, and educate. He actively engages in the photography community by conducting workshops, leading street photography walkabouts, and organizing meet-up sessions that bring together like-minded individuals eager to learn and explore the nuances of capturing life through a lens.

His photographic journey extends to various locales and settings, allowing him to capture the unique tapestry of urban life and the natural beauty that surrounds us. Whether wandering through bustling city streets or exploring serene landscapes, his camera is his constant companion, helping him document moments and tell stories through vivid imagery.

The beauty of nature stops me in my tracks, the drift wood drew me in, noticing the refecltions in the sand, as the sound of the waves made me pause in that moment . I pause again ... a moment I can go back to, looking back at this picture

Saw the aurora reading were going up around 9pm on March 21, 2025. Bundled my son into the car and drove up Harmony Rd. However, they closed off the road where it turns into a dirt road, so we turned around and went left on Columbus Road and turned left again on some farm dirt (very muddy) side road. Just to get away from houses. I could barely see anything with my eyes, but my cell phone picked it up right away. Used my RF10-20mm f4 lens, Canon R5ii camera. 2sec timer, and used the interval t

New "room" backdrop set up for Father's Day promo pictures. These little boys came in with their dad to help me get some pictures to advertise my Daddy & Me minis. I totally love the backdrops, which are from Baby Dream Backdrops. Absolutely gorgeous. The family got right to work playing chess and cuddling, just perfect! I took photos of them interacting. Got lovely images of them.

In January 25, I went on my first safari. The wildlife we saw, exceeded my expectations. We tracked this leopard, knicknamed Tom, the tatty eared leopard, for several miles. Eventually he stopped for a rest on the branch of a tree, just a few hundred yards away from our truck. I took numerous shots, but felt that I had really connected with him in this shot. It felt as though he was looking directly into my eyes!
